LESSONS FROM SOME GREAT BOOKS - Drashti Panjrolia

LESSONS FROM SOME GREAT BOOKS

We all are well aware regarding the importance of reading. But do we have adequate time to read all the books by ourselves? Definitely not. So here I am sharing some wonderful lessons from books that I have personally read. Learn and implement them in your life.

1. HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE

1. NEVER CRITICIZE , CONDEMN OR COMPLAIN

You should never criticize someone. You should always praise them. You should never complain regarding their behaviour and always accept them as they are.

2. BE GENEROUS WITH PRAISE

Always praise people for who they are. Always appreciate their efforts and works. A one minute of appreciation can give a ever-lasting friendship/ relationship. Always give genuine complements. Don't exaggerate them.

3. REMEMBER THEIR NAME

Always greet people with their names whenever you meet them. People love it when you remember them by their first names. Always use their names in conversations with them.

4. BE GENUINELY INTERESTED IN PEOPLE

Be genuinely interested in people. Talk to them regarding their interests. Never force your interest on them.

5. GREET WITH SMILE

People love positive people rather than those who are always unhappy or sad. Always meet people with smile as your charm matters!

6. DON'T ATTEMPT TO WIN AN ARGUMENT

Try to avoid arguments as much as possible and if you have one don't attempt to win the argument. People hate it when you care more about winning then solving the issue.

7. BE QUICK TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR MISTAKES

You must always accept your mistakes and apologize for it. People should never think that you never accept your mistakes and always blame them. An apology can save many relationships and friendships!

2. Rich Dad Poor Dad

1. RICH DON'T WORK FOR MONEY

You should learn to make money work for you. Having money doesn't make you rich if you lack financial literacy. You must buy things that put money into your pocket rather than those which put money out of your pocket.

2. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE SMARTER THAN YOU

You must surround yourself with people who are smarter than you as you will gradually learn from them. You are average of 5 people you associate with. Be around people who look more like the person you want to be in future.

3. REINVEST EXCESS CASH

You must always reinvest your cash in things that put money back into your pocket. You must also reinvest the returns that you got from your investments in past.

4. BUY LUXURIES LAST

You must always buy luxuries at last. In accounting a car is considered as an asset but it doesn't put money back into your pocket as it depreciates over time. Learn to know the difference between assets and liabilities.

5. REDUCE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES

You must have items that put money back in your pocket and cut down your expenses. The below picture explains it very well.

 3. THINK AND GROW RICH

1. HAVE A MASTERMIND GROUP

In his book “Think and Grow Rich“, Hill described the Mastermind principle as, “The coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people who work towards a definite purpose in a spirit of harmony…no two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind”, also known as, the Master.

 2. OUR MIND RECIEVE IDEAS FROM THE UNIVERSE

An interesting observation that Napoleon Hill indicates is that the universe feeds us with ideas constantly. However, we need to tune our minds to receive them, much like an antenna. One of the ways to tune our minds is to use positive thinking. Keep positive, resourceful thoughts in your mind and you will be able to attract high quality ideas which you can implement and transform your fortunes.

3. WIN OR QUIT , PICK A SIDE

Winners never quit and quitters never win. We must accept that failure is a process towards success. We must be dedicated towards winning. We must never be afraid of failures in life. We must learn to stand up and walk!

 4. HAVE A BURNING DESIRE

We must have a burning desire. We must be ready to sacrifice everything for our goals. How bad do you want it? Of course all of us has different goals and dreams for ourselves, but have you ever asked yourself this question?. Thoughts turns into plans and then we execute it. Therefore a desire is very important!

5 IMPLEMENTATION IS THE KEY

We must learn to implement our ideas. Thoughts and plans are nothing if they are not implemented. We must have the courage to implement our ideas even if they sound crazy.

Note: The work is original and author does not claim over images. The headings and some lines are copied as it is from book as they are short summaries from the book.
